Our Association with McInenly Auctions goes back many decades. When we began our farming operation we raised commercial cattle which we marketed through the McInenly Stavely Auction Market. Through the years we have enjoyed selling and buying antiques at the Antique Auctions and Western Heritage Antique and Art Sales.
In the late 1980s we began breeding Purebred Angus cattle. As our breeding program expanded we needed a venue to host our purebred bull sales and Frank, along with his friendly staff, helped us host the sales at the Stavely Auction Market.
We added Miniature Donkeys to our farm inventory in 1990. As the donkey herd grew we decided to have a Miniature Donkey Auction Sale in 1993. Frank and Agnes listened to our proposal and agreed to call the auction. We chose McInenly Auctions because we knew that they would be great promoters and follow our directions to “make the donkey sale fun for people because we are selling something totally useless”! Together, we hosted 14 successful Miniature Donkey sales and raised over $87,000.00 for STARS.
In addition to our livestock sales McInenly Auctions helped us organize 2 farm dispersal sales at the farm. We valued the support, advice and common sense reality that McInenly Auctions provided as we made these changes throughout our farming career.
In all cases we found McInenly Auctions to be excellent promoters of our livestock before and after our sales. The staff had great business ethics and understood how to make a sale enjoyable for the bidders and profitable for us. We appreciated that McInenly Auctions could look after all of the financial details of our sales, taking care of technicalities and regulations. Frank always added good value to the auctions by keeping them entertaining and making everyone happy to part with their hard earned money.
Thank You to everyone at McInenly Auctions! It has been a pleasure to do business with you throughout the years.
– Sincerely, Grant & Sharon Cooke, Cooke Livestock, Blackie, Alberta
